The Patrol Division is considered the tip of the spear of the Rushville Police Department. The men and women in uniform serve the City of Rushville, its residents, and visitors 24 hours a day 365 days a year. These officers respond to approximately 3000 calls for service each year. They respond to emergencies, requests for police services and quality of life issues. In addition, they conduct proactive patrols responsible for criminal interdiction and traffic enforcement. The primary mission of patrol is protecting life and property as well as ensuring a positive quality of life for all the residents of the township.
