Welcome to the Rushville Police Department. The men and women of this Department proudly serve the residents of Rushville and Rush County as well as those individuals who visit or pass through our growing city daily.

The jurisdiction encompassing the City of Rushville is 3.09 square miles, and the population of Rushville is 6135 according to the 2022 Census. The community hosts several public parks with great amenities including Waggener Community Pool in North Veterans’ Park and the Live by the Levee concert series held at the Riverside Park Amphitheater. Rushville boasts several industrial complexes including Trane Company, Intat Precision, Inc, and most recently Diamond Pet Foods.

The Rushville Police Department provides emergency services on a continual basis through multiple divisions including the Patrol Division, Investigations Division, Communications Division and through the School Resource Officer Program within the Rush County School Corporation.
