The Investigations Section of the Rushville Police Department investigates all crimes against persons and property with the City of Rushville with particular emphasis on those cases that exceed the resources of patrol officers to investigate. The Investigations Section is also responsible for the pro-active investigation of narcotics offenses, organized crime, crimes against children, and various other quality of life offenses.

The Investigations Section is staffed by two detectives who rotate on-call duties to provide 24 hour investigative resources when the need arises. The Investigations Section is currently staffed by Detective Jordan Hoeing (jhoeing@cityofrushville.in.gov) and Detective Caitlin Herbert (cherbert@cityofrushville.in.gov).
